Summary
When Nick Caraway went back to home after his date with Jordan Baker, Gatsby was waiting for him to confirm that Nick would help him to reunite with Daisy Buchanan. The next day, Nick invited Daisy to come over and have tea at four o’clock. It was embarrassed at first but then as they talk, they started to get closer. Afterwards, Gatsby invited Nick and Daisy to go to his house. While walking over, Nick asked Gatsby about how he made his money, but he answered awkwardly with a curt, "that's my affair (Fitzgerald, 90)." In Gatsby's "enormous house"(90), he tried to impress Daisy with all of the possessions he had filled his house with. They were talking to each other joyfully and Nick again realizes that his presence is not needed again. He leaves the two alone and goes out in the rain.
